Upcoming events!!

I have grown to really enjoy craft/vendor fairs for a number of reasons; They’re usually put together to support a local cause and they’re a great way to gain exposure in the community.

BUT my favorite part is getting to meet my customers! I absolutely love when someone mentions the fact that they follow me on FB or Instagram…gives me the warm and fuzzies. AND just for making the effort to come out…you may even catch an extra special deal or two 😉

I am SO lucky to share my table with the talented potter, Heather Sproat from Button Pottery. (Do yourself a favor and check her out at http://www.buttonpottery.ca)

If you like what you see in my posts, I encourage you pop into one of our upcoming events:

It’s not JUST the inside that counts

Untitled design

Honestly, I think my favorite thing about each sale is wrapping it all up…tiny boxes, twine and WASHI TAPE!

I’ve always loved wrapping and giving gifts so it’s no wonder I LOVE packaging your purchases.

On the flip side of things, what’s better than getting a package in the mail? Getting a PRETTY, SPARKLY PACKAGE! I love snail mail! So, I decided to crank it up a notch 😉

I get bored. I have the attention span of a flea. If I had to describe my style of packaging in on word….no, one PHRASE, I’d call it “Consistently Inconsistent”. This phrase can be used to describe most aspects in my life (but that’s a whole other blog entry). Anywho, no two of my packages are ever the same…that’s not to say (for example) that if you buy 6 sets as gifts, I wouldn’t wrap them all the same…we wouldn’t want anyone to have gift wrap envy 😉  exhibit A (picture above) burlap envelopes in basket.

PACKAGING…I love it.

Spring BLING

SPRING. Snow melts, birds start singing, flowers begin to poke their heads out of the ground letting you know that the worst part is OVER!

If you’re like me…you hate winter. Yes, a sprinkling of snow is oh so pretty and christmas is magical (Sure. Tell that to my pocket book) and bla bla bla…I cannot stand it. I’d sooner pack up and move to Arizona for the rest of time BUT it’s just not feasible at this point of my life. The only thing I like about winter is the fact that I can get away with wearing black from head to toe. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I love black. Black loves ME.

ENTER earrings! To soften the edges of my black on black…I like to wear bright colored earrings. Even if it’s just to respond to my mother when we have this inevitable conversation;

Mom- “Why are you dressed ALL in black on SUCH a BEAUTIFUL day???”

Me- “I’m not ALL in black, Mother, check out THESE!”

That’s when I flash her my neon earrings and she loses the battle…not really but you catch my drift 😉

Without further ado…my spring/summer color collection:

Most of these can be found in my shop at http://www.StudsAstray.com

Calling All Brides!! (and anyone else who likes affordable custom jewelry)

Flowers, tulle, diamonds, shoes, dresses and…jewelry!! WEDDINGS. You may love them, you may hate them, but they’re going to happen either way.

I (personally) LOVE weddings. I love the hype, the pictures, the drinks, the food…the DRINKS (yes, I know I’ve already said that) but most of all, I love LOVE. I’m a believer, I have the faith and I preach…yay love!

That is why I always get super excited at the potential of doing a brides wedding party jewelry. The thought that someone would think of MY creations for their “day of days” blows my mind. It is an honor that I do not take lightly.

All this to say: I sincerely enjoy working with custom orders (whether it’s with a bride or just someone wanting something particular). I encourage anyone to reach out with any of their wants. No extra charge for custom work either 😉
Enjoy the day!!

Stef* (no real reason for the star…just think it’s cute)
